mother nature is here too

So many people are sad becasue of the wreckage of tornadoes and floods and storms etc. I am sad becasue of a frozen mist came off the pond out back and froze my lavender and fennel and lemon cucumbers. It was the last day in May. Water in the birdbath froze, hoze in frontyard froze. This is a special site specific thing>> no where else did it freeze, and haven't heard frogs since. This is my taste of loss. This is nothing compared to what the Missourians and others have suffered. But this is my seed of understanding what it is like, I did nurture and breathe with those plants for months before setting them out. They were mine own taken in the night, just like Mike. Yes it's romantic.
