new wine

The new batch is a mock zinfandel, with black cherry, cloves and peppers. Mama was there helping, she looked up and said Wow look at the size of that bird in the bath! Thus, wine's name.
Am going to photograph again becasue they are all too yellow, and will do outside in real light this time. 

springtime in the rockies

Yesterday, while running along river I saw, out of the corner of my eye, a big fat long snake sailing up off the ground! Turned to see and lo and behold a gigantic hawk was lifting it out of the green and flew off with it. So close I could see the colors and textures. It was such a beautiful bird. And never saw a snake that big at the river. Lots of garters there, but not big snakes like that. Then a sandhill crane flew right over my head. Then we saw a rotting fox, still had fur and teeth. Now this was all so good!

Then last night Copper chased a fox down the road and around a house out of sight. I threw on my hat and ran after her, and she came running scared around the other end of the house and the fox chasing her! The fox let out a nasty scream. Copper ran into the yard and turned around, the fox was going to continue but I chased it off. She making enemies of them.

The frogs in the pond come and go. Can tell when a weather change is coming becasue they disappear.

Matisse wasn't a "master" but to me he is a -modern master, and eager to learn from him. First his then mine new version, then old yellower. Similar? Oui

thunder

Heard thunder evening hier. Raining downtown now. Have changed my good hour of life (Bonhuer de Vivre) so much, tant meiux. This is what painters can do to improve paintings if they want, when one of your originals resembles a masters, composition, design, color, feeling, etc. take notice! They will always be the better painters. There will never be anymore masters, but they're still available to us. I helped myself to a Matisse -or Matisse helped me- practically channeled him and added so much to a work. Was looking at Bonhuer de Vivre, realized was so much like my painting and was able to tweak it and dedicate it him. Thank You my brother, Henry. Plus, have met so many Henry's lately.

Yesterday was such a magical day, so magical that I could not sleep all night. No more power drinks!!I will post photo of mine, and also pic of his.
